Le Matinal Newspaper published an article on Gudi Padwa Celebration organised by the Maratha Force of Q-Bornes on the 28th March 2009. It was a golden opportunity to reward brilliant apla students who have passed their exams, namely Vasudha Apajee (SC),  Shirish Ramma(HSC), Yateer Babajee and Omdeo Rowjee. The Maharashtrian couple Mr & Mrs Hinge also graced the function with beautiful and typical Maharashtrian songs.

Aplamanus heartly congratulate our Apla friends for their success and wish them all the best in their future academic life. 

The rainy seasons of February did not prove to be of much disturbance to Aplamanus as we all gathered on last Sunday, to explore Cluny.

We were indeed blessed by the hospitality of the people out there as they opened their hearts to assist us throughout while making us discover their village.

The first part of the journey  was at Cluny Mandir , whereby we pay tribute to  Shivaji Birthday.  Omdeo Raojee, our proud laureat was the priviledged one to place a garland around Shivaji to commemorate his forthcoming birthday.

Then we made our way uphill. The paths were muddy but the panoramic scenery was just magnificent. Aplamanus headed off to the Eau Bleu reservoir afterwards whereby we had lunch. We had a walk all way long by the side of the reservoir before paving our way to Bassin Bambous.

The sun was back at that time and it was a perfect moment of joy as we would splash in the water or simply allow ourselves to secure a place under the waterfall. The final destination was Taili, whereby we all sat on the heights of the waterfall and enjoy the sound of the water as they fell free into the deep blue pond.

The experience was an everlasting one and we indeed owe Cluny and its people, a heartfelt THANK YOU.

…” Namaskar to all Souls of Mauritius. May God bless all of you who are celebrating Shraavani Bhakti Mela 2008. I wish all the people, irrespective of caste and religion, be tied with a thread of love with the grace of divine power and be a good example of unity and integrity to all mankind of the world. I also wish that the Mauritius Marathi Mandali Federation be a “lighthouse” on the path of love which ultimately leads to God and inner satisfaction.

let me tell you one thing: It is time for introspection for everyone of us. For the last ten years I have been talking about love, medication and dhyaan only. You just recall that i never spoke of anything else except of love and dhyaan. Now the time has come for you to prove the spirit and strength of love and realize the power of “dhyaan”.

Let me tell you another thing: With the grace of my guru, Param Pujya Baba Maharaj Manvatkar and Paratpar Guru Vasudevanand Saraswati Tembey Swami Maharaj, I had been to England, France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland for more than three months in 1983. It was my first hand experience that it was possible to transform the behavioral nature of the people whom i came in contract with, into humane beings. They experienced inner happiness.

It is wonderful to note that though i was not knowing French, German, Italian, English or any other language and only with grace of divine power and love, it was possible to enter the hearts of the people.

I do not know your creole language but skill,for the last ten years I have been talking about love and meditation with you irrespective of a language barrier. I am in your heart and hence, I say, it is time to prove yourself the power of love and meditation”…

The fun was legendary! The teams formed were weird but marine names such as Oursins, Makrelle, Barbara, Soonook, Gaumon, made us discover other friends and work together to win.
The first game was to blindfolderly make the partner eat yogurt!! Salt and chilli were added without the participants’ knowledge and they had to gulp everything as quickly as possible! The two participants had also the chance to get tight to each other for a race and also “lipier dan la main” race! It amazing to see so much energy and vigour in the youth! The football match was worth of Champion League! Football ground just like Wembley! Players chosen from the best of the best! No one didnt passed through those beautiful ‘Goalkeepers’! Best referee worth of its height! The next game was on supposingly slippery land to fill bottles with sea water with… hands! Lucky those with large hands! The final combat of Tug of war was awesome! Everyone did their best to win. Unfortunate for those teams who didnt own buildings and ‘colonne’! lolzz and without forgetting the traditional fruit salade!
We ended with a small presentation of Apla-Uk by Oumesh, future activities and of course with lots of mischief and laugh!
